The combination of the flexible N,N’-ditopic ligand 1,4-bis(4-pyridylmethyl)benzene (bpymb) with zinc(II) acetate (ZnAc) affords synthesis two-dimensional coordination polymer [Zn2Ac2(μ-Ac)2(bpymb)]n, which was structurally characterized by single crystal XRD. In resolved structure, molar ratio metal:ligand 2:1 for Ac:Zn. However, half units are acting as bridging ligands, allows building a layered structure. description this new structure increases numerous family compounds involving zinc and ditopic N,N’- ligand, demonstrates possible architecture. obtained also elemental analysis, ATR-FTIR spectroscopy TGA analysis. Besides, photoluminescence properties compound where measured, showing that weak free bpymb after formation.
